Who we are
Our students are all girls, grades 6-12 and come from all over the world and mostly live in Queens. This 2015-2016 school year is our seventh year practicing mastery.
Hallmarks of TYWLS-Astoria's approach to mastery
We have been in practice for six years, so we have a lot of experience and data that informs our decisions around mastery. The whole school (6-12) is doing this work.
What makes TYWLS-Astoria unique?
We share school wide competencies across all subjects and grade levels. These 21st Century competencies serve as categories for our more discrete, subject based learning targets connected to each competency.
